Summer Reading 2010

bookDear Parents of Delbarton Students:

Below is your son's summer reading list. We are excited about the summer book choices and hope you will be too. While your son does not need to keep a journal or write an essay on them, we suggest that he read the books actively and attentively. When he returns to school in the fall, his teacher will do activities to assess his comprehension of the books.

Please note that these books may be ordered directly from our online bookstore, MBS Direct. It's as easy as clicking on the link and placing your order.

Additionally, we encourage your son to read for pleasure throughout the summer. Reading is an excellent way to improve reading rate and increase one's vocabulary. So, please take your son to your local bookstore and let him find works of fiction and nonfiction that interest him. We plan to post a booklist of recommended books on our school website early in the summer, so be sure to check that out.
